<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman">Most athletes this time of year in our area likely are to be found indoors.<span>  </span>On the hardwood floors of the gym or on a wrestling mat but for some one hundred or so hard core football players, a football workout in February-outdoors became a reality.<span>  </span>This past weekend UE Sports hosted the inaugural QFB Football Combine which was held at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Muckleshoot</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Tribal</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">School</st1:placetype></st1:place>.<span>  </span>The weather contributed to a successful kick off where the venue was buzzing as well over 100 of the region’s talented young athletes lined up for what everyone, spectators included, look’s forward to during the off season–great competition and there was plenty of it.<span>  </span></font></p>
<p><o:p><font face="Times New Roman"> </font></o:p></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman">I talked with many of these athletes and basically told them, “Don’t show up to train.<span>  </span>Show up to compete.”<span>  </span>Talent budding from end zone to end zone set the pace for an exciting event which managed to draw in the best of the locals including athletes from <st1:state w:st="on">Utah</st1:state>, <st1:state w:st="on">Oregon</st1:state> and <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Idaho</st1:place></st1:state>.<span>  </span>The caliber of talent impressed parents, visiting college coaches and a number of Athletic Directors from area school districts.<span>  </span>These kids were fired up and shared one common goal “Get Reps-Get Better”.<span>  </span>Simple.<span>  </span>Their hard work during the off season not only strengthens and builds confidence but helps them hone the fundamental skills necessary to compete as well as becoming a positive contributor to their respective teams when the season rolls around.<span>  </span></font></p>
